On the 28th December John and I had a trip to the clubrooms of the 'Wirral Finescale Modellers' to have a play on two very famous layouts, Mostyn and Widnes Vine Yard. I took along some of my locomotives to stretch there legs on 'Vine Yard', pictures can be seen in the 'Locos on tour' section.

Over the weekend of 31 Oct, 1 & 2 November I was one of the operators on 'Widnes Vineyard' at the Wirral Finescale modellers exhibition in Birkenhead. I took several of my locomotives along and gave them the opportunity to stretch their 'legs'. A new section called 'Locos on Tour' has been added to the website showing pictures of some of my locos in action.

Dyserth Road appeared at the Blackburn & East lancs exhibition over the weekend of October 17th - 19th, thanks to everyone who called by to say hello and thanks for all the kind comments about the website and layout.

A webcam is now in operation which is positioned on the layout if you tune in at the right time you may catch a operating session on Dyserth Road. I have also added a chat room so if you want to talk about model trains pop along you might catch me in there.

Dyserth Road now has five exhibition bookings between now and 2005 although only three are confirmed at this present moment. This has prompted me to publish a Exhibition page which will contain all the details.

Three new pictures posted in the 'Pictures' section and the' Loco Lights' has had several new pictures added showing lighting kits as fitted to classes 67 and 87 as well as some interesting pictures of 60033 fitted with a prototypical lighting kit which allows day and night running mode to be illuminated.

A 'loco lights' section has been added which shows some examples of the lighting kits fitted to my locomotive fleet almost all my fleet is now fitted some with independently working head/marker/tail lights.

The June 2003 edition of British Railway Modelling magazine Volume 11 No: 3 features a article on page 56 by editor John Emerson called 'Seeing Double' which features the Bachmann class 37s using some of my detailed and weathered examples along with 2 locos belonging to Nigel Crow. All pictures in this article were taken on Dyserth Road by my usual photographer John Humphries.

Several new pictures have been added including pictures of 47791 in RES livery with black headcode boxes and Stag logo on bodyside, 09024 in faded Mainline Freight livery with red bufferbeam and solebar.
East Midlands Exhibition (Nottingham) 17/03/03
Dyserth Road had a successful showing at Nottingham over the weekend of March 15th & 16th. This was it's first outing under full DCC control with most of the locomotive fleet fitted with working lights. As a bonus to a enjoyable weekend Dyserth Road won a trophy, The Riverside Railway Society Award was won for the Overhead Line Equipment (OHLE) on ‘Dyserth Road’. In recognition of Riverside Railway Society's efforts in promoting finescale electrification, this is awarded for excellence in modeling electrification systems and equipment.

Dyserth Road is now DCC operated 12/01/03
Final modifications to the wiring took place today to enable Dyserth Road to be fully operational using DCC. Now the job of fitting decoders and lighting kits continues.

Bachmann 37 arrives 24/12/02
The new release from Bachmann in the shape of 37419 in EW&S livery arrived at Dyserth Road today. It was quickly detailed and weathered and pictures added to the site.
Exhibition news 14/12/02
Dyserth Road appeared at it's second exhibition of the year at a charity event in Prestatyn, N. Wales on the 14/12/02 in aid of the St asaph eye sight appeal. This should be the last time Dyserth Road uses normal analogue DC control as plans are in hand to convert to DCC.
